(1) I'm asking questions that have been answered a thousand times before. But I'm hoping that a few gullible people in my audience will still fall for them.
(2) I'm too lazy to use Google or consult expert opinion.
(3) I'm deliberately trying to get a debate opponent to waste their time.
I don't trust the mainstream media
(1) I'm more than happy to quote the mainstream media the second it says something I want to hear.
(2) I will believe anything a fellow conspiracy theorist writes, without questioning or fact-checking.
You won't hear this in the mainstream media.
(1) You will if you do a 10-second search on Google News.
(2) My echo chamber / social media algorithm is not feeding me this information.
(3) Or it's just absolute garbage.
Freedom of speech. Freedom to lie and spread harmful misinformation without consequences.
Agenda. Claiming something was planned in advance, always after it happened but never before.
Follow the money Don't pay any attention to who profits from a conspiracy theory being false.
The official story doesn't add up Ignore the rival conspiracy theories that don't add up.
