Why is it the same people who refused to comply with public health measures, helping to spread the virus quicker are now the exact same people complaining that the public health measures didn’t work ? IMAGE
Why is it that many people who claimed that the virus is a "manmade bioweapon" were against restrictions and seemed so unconcerned at protecting themselves and others from it ?
No safety procedure is ever 100% effective, why can't people understand the simple concept that reducing risk is better than doing nothing at all ?

Were lockdowns honestly that bad compared with some of the things our ancestors went through such as the The Blitz ? Every day you could go shopping, walk, run, cycle, work (if essential) run errands for people, communicate with friends via the internet. Like living in a literal prison cell !!!!!
Why does the backlash against facemasks, lockdowns and vaccines seem so similar to the backlash against smoking bans and seatbelts ?
WAR AGAINST SEATBELTS - BUSINESS INSIDER
Antivaxxers have been claiming for years that it was public health measures and not vaccines that rid the world of diseases like smallpox and polio. Why then were many antivaxxers also resisting these same public health measures against the coronavirus ?
How do you explain the extinction of a flu strain during covid restrictions? A flu strain has gone extinct thanks to the COVID pandemic
Why do some people seem to think that the WHO and the rest of the world followed "china's model of locking down" ?
The concept of lockdowns to prevent the spread of disease dates back centuries. One of the earliest known instances occurred during the 14th century in response to the Black Death (bubonic plague) in Europe. The city of Ragusa (modern-day Dubrovnik, Croatia) implemented a policy in 1377 that required travellers and goods arriving from plague-affected areas to undergo a 40-day isolation period, which became known as "quarantine" (from the Italian word quaranta, meaning forty). The WHO's foundational work on managing infectious diseases has long included principles like isolation, quarantine, and movement restrictions, dating back to its creation in 1948. In 2005, the International Health Regulations (IHR) were revised to provide a framework for responding to public health emergencies of international concern. While the IHR discusses quarantine and isolation
Why is it that the people who accuse Bill Gates/Klaus Schwab of having a "eugenics program" are in many cases the same people who were against covid restrictions on the basis that it was ONLY "old people with underlying health issues" that were dying? This could easily be called eugenics.
Do you praise Sweden for having fewer excess deaths than the UK without draconian restrictions? Or blame UK excess deaths on vaccines despite Sweden being more boosted?
If lockdowns are a "new world order conspiracy" to "control the masses" then why didn’t countries such as Sweden or Belarus get the memo on this ?

If lockdowns are a "new world order conspiracy" to "control the masses" then why did the UK do such a pathetic job of actually enforcing them ?
It was very easy to get away with breaking the rules.
Many violators were let off with just a warning.
Many lockdown fines were reduced on appeal or not paid at all.

Why does there need to be a big evil plot to "control the masses" when many of my fellow citizens are already overweight, unfit, in debt, addicted to substances, gambling, social media and binge watching TV ? They seem more than capable of doing it to themselves.
If the death count is HIGH during restrictions critics will say they didn't work. If the death count is LOW the same critics will say they wasn't needed. Comment ?

Certain companies benefited from lockdowns, If lockdown extensions were "planned from the start" as many conspiracy theorists claim. Why were they not advising people to buy shares in these companies and profit if they had this valuable "inside information" ?

Why was the UK governments response to covid so obviously trying to please "both sides" rather than that of an authoritarian state "in control" ?
You have 2 choices in a pandemic............
LOCKDOWN - Save the old and frail, trash the economy, upset a lot of people who lose their jobs and businesses.
NO LOCKDOWN - Save the economy but have a lot of old and frail die. Upset a lot of people who lost old relatives. The fact they would have been dead in a few years anyway isn't going to cut it. It's human nature to blame someone especially if they look at the country next door who choose option 1 and had much lower death rates. The conspiracy theorists would have been full of the "UK government wants to let old people die".
Both options are going to upset a lot of people who are going to be protesting in the street. But the grim reality is that you have to pick one side and stick with it. The UK government didn't properly enforce option 1 as I pointed out in a previous question. The UK government tried to compromise with "partial lockdowns", which led to the crazy situation where you could visit the pub but had to wear a mask every time you got up to visit the toilet.
What percentage of lockdown protests actually achieved something that the government wasn't already going to do anyway ?
